I founded Meisner Jam in May 2014 as a way for performance practitioners with Meisner training/experience to meet-up for mutual support with their Meisner skills. It differs from teacher-led or class-based training, does not seek to make a profit nor has fixed business or premises costs to cover. We meet wherever we can to work on whatever needs working on. Taking it in turns to be the ‘external eye’, It can be described as ‘teaching without the teacher’.
Jams are organised via the Meisner Technique meetup group that also meets for teacher-led course, workshop and class training sessions.
The teacher-led training enables people new to the technique to acquire sufficient grounding and practise in the principles of the technique so that they can participate in the Jam sessions.
